Blue tinted glasses
This morning I woke up unsettled
Frustrated, irritated, angry at the world
Sad inside
Couldn’t escape my mind
My life was blue
Walking through the world
With blue tinted glasses
Is this sadness contagious?
My God, I hope not.
Will my tears trickle down
To my children, grandchildren
Will my future ancestors
Wear blue tinted glasses?

This evening I went to sleep unsettled
Frustrated, irritated, angry at the world
Sad inside
Couldn’t escape my mind
My thoughts correlate to world I perceive
And the destruction I see
Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
