Episode 121 - Strengthening Families Visual Benedictions

If you were asked to prioritize the 10 subject topics among 37 subjects for news coverage, what would you consider the most preferred topics? A recent poll of 115,000 people was made, and they were asked to rank the top 10 topics in order according to their preference. They were given 37 subjects for possible radio and magazine coverage. They were asked which one is the most important and should be given priority. The first most important topic was strengthening families. Among the other top 10 chosen were listed the topics on grandparenting, values and school, parenting toddlers, school aged children - adolescents, male Christian leadership, abortion, public policy, and family devotions. It was interesting to know what 115,000 people wanted to learn more about in the 90s.

We may be living in a world of change, where old values and old truths are being challenged. Research is bringing out that there's still a great interest in knowing more about the traditional values in what makes strong families. Throughout the years I have seen families in many parts of this world drawn very close together through some of the difficult hardships and losses. I have heard them say, "In our village/community/country/church, we are concerned and care about our families and friends." A recent speaker I heard stated how important it is to remain connected with your family. And that when one shuns your family, your problems do not disappear. John Bradshaw once stated, "If you still resent your parents, you have never grown up." Strong families can provide stability for our nation. These strong families are truly one of life's most precious gifts. Families are vital in our civilization, and they are here to stay. What is your favorite subject topic? I would love to hear from you.
