Episode 20 - The Month of Family Visual Benedictions

From Mother's Day until Father's Day, we have had National Family Month. It has been so good to have received many special thoughts about families, the heart of every home.

From a friend in Texas came some thoughts written by Gary R. Collins, the author of many articles and books on families. He believes and keeping families strong in the midst of Earth shaking change. The following are 10 statements about families:

1. Despite all the changes that disrupt families, God is in control.

2. Even though divorce rates are high, most marriages stay intact.

3. No family as without problems and periodic crisis.

4. All parents make mistakes, but most kids survive Very well.

5. It is possible to have healthy families even in a chaotic and immoral society.

6. We can raise kids successfully even if we don't have all the answers.

7. The majority of families are not seriously dysfunctional.

8. Even good parents sometimes have rebellious kids.

9. Even parents who behave badly sometimes have healthy adjusted kids.

10. God loves our families.

Another statement in the home where I recently visited about home:

God bless our home with happiness and keep it snug and bright with your loving watchful care protected day and night. God fill our home was so much peace that were will find the greatest joy of all is the joy of coming home.

Warm Thought:

Your kindness influences your children. Your humor influences your home, your joy and influences your actions. Your service influences your society and nation is only as strong as its families.

Celebrate the joy of family.
