September. The gift of September. Heart to heart thoughts, and the days grow long when we reach September. September is a delightful month. It marks the end of summer and the coming of fall.

An unknown author has expressed it in these beautiful and poetic words. “I will recount the beauties of September, so when I reach the autumn of my days, it will be very easy to remember how lovely life can be in mellowed ways. September's charms, how they now woo and hold us, there is so much to glory in and praise. Her peacefulness and gentleness enfold us. There's magic in her air and golden haze. Her beauty is the beauty of achievement. September's arms are filled with golden sheaves. She counts, not summer's going to bereavement, at winter's footsteps, trembles, not nor grieves. Ah, dahlias are flaming in September, blazing defiance of Jack Frost sharp breath. This is a fact I ever shall remember. Beauty was present at fair summer's death. Then, when the leaves of life are falling, falling like a bright dahlia, may my spirit be that hears the winter calling, calling, yet joys and beauty's ministry.”

More thoughts on autumn: The blaze of the sunsets, the fire of the trees, the gold in the meadows, what treasures are these? So let's walk among them, and bask in their glow. For autumn awaits us wherever we go. Autumn is magic. When nature is turning, and And letters keep the flame of our friendship burning. Another warm thought. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lost in flowers, we more than gain in fruits. Samuel Butler. Thank you for sharing your warm thoughts in this beautiful season.
