The author who wrote the book, "All I ever Learned I Learned in Kindergarten," could not have meant it for the generation who were born before kindergarten began. Since I never attended kindergarten, I find special joy and listening to granddaughter Trina telling me what she is learning in her kindergarten class. She is learning some new songs I've never heard before, among other things that I do not know. How exciting it must be to go to kindergarten! I was amused the other day when I read an essay written by an unknown author entitled, "All I Need to Know About Life, I Learned From a Cow."
There's always a lot at steak. Successful people are moovers and shakers. Don't have a cow. Chew your food at least 20 times before swallowing. If you need to get somewhere, "hoof" it.
Don't be just one of the herd. If you've herd a good joke, milk it for all it's worth. Graze your way to the top. He who lives with the herd learns to watch his step. It's butter to have milked and churned than to never have milked at all. Don't be bossy. The cream always rises to the top. Party till the cows come home. Munch hay while the sun shines. Following your heart will always steer you in the right direction.
Not only am I learning what is taught in kindergarten, and some lessons from animals too, I am also learning new words. Trina has called the little calves, "cow babies." Stay tuned - I will share some lessons I learned from the birds.
We are never too old to learn something, each day of our lives. Education requires that we answer many questions. Continuing education requires that we question many of our answers. William, Arthur Ward. Give a little love to each child, and you get a great deal back. John Ruskin. Have many warm thoughts, every day.
